Goose Green
| The 2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment, 450 men, supported by specialist Royal Marine and Royal Artillery units attacked Argentinian forces established at Goose Green. The Argentinian strength had been greatly under estimated and after a fierce fight 1,200 Argentinians surrendered. Seventeen paras including their commanding officer were killed. |
